Swingin', stomping, and singin, on spirituals, ragtime, blues and jazz standards, the Sean Stanley Quartet is an improvisational group of talented musicians dedicated to respecting the true spirit of Jazz. Led by Sean Stanely on piano, the quartet also has Bennett Young on Upright Bass, Gabe Girard on Drums and Sokhna-Dior on vocals. The Quartet will be accompanied by the insanely talented and accomplished Scott Good on trombone.

Rhythm then Blues is a showcase put together by Sean and Sokhna-Dior to trace Jazz and Blues through the Traditions of West African music. The Mande music ensemble will play a set of traditional Mande music showcasing the legacy of rhythm, synchopation and musical creativity that inspired generations of early Blues and Jazz Music. Sean Stanley, Sokhna-Dior and the Jazz Band will follow with a set of classic Jazz and Blues songs as well as Spirituals that celebrates the creative manifestations of the African American experience.
Anna Melnikoff, Frank Norquay, Todd Martin and Alice Sellwood will join us as part of The Mande Music Ensemble.

Featuring: a dramatic presentation with music, familiar carols and other musical selections that will capture the wonder and joy of the season.
